Schmidt Marketing branched out into the wine business in 2012, specialising in retail, e-commerce and trade business. Featuring an exquisite collection of fine, organic and biodynamic wines and liquors from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and beyond, we strive to offer something for everyone.
This division was first established to meet the diverse tastes of Hong Kong wine connoisseurs, particularly by introducing high quality wines from Europe’s German-speaking wine regions - Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Following the success of the retail outlet, Schmidt Vinothek, in Hong Kong, the group expanded its wine business to Vietnam, opening its first retail outlet in Hanoi in 2014.
The business has since vastly expanded its wine portfolio and represents regions to cater to a variety of establishments in the hotel, restaurant, bar and club industries, as well as selling directly to customers through our retail and e-commerce shops.
Our trade business sells fine wines and liquors to a wide range of HORECA channels across Hong Kong: Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés, Members' Clubs and Bars.
We are a market leader in the distribution of fine wines from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and have expanded our portfolio to many more regions to cater to our customers' needs.
Our retail business operates under ‘Schmidt Vinothek’ and is comprised of our e-commerce shop and retail store. In 2012 we opened our first Schmdit Vinothek shop in Quarry Bay and have recently moved to Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong.
We offer an excellent selection of wines and liquors from Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, South Africa and Canada. We also import fine glassware from Germany and Austria.
A wine for every occasion - From Old World to New World, sweet to dry and
popular wines to the rarest gems, we have got something for everyone.
